Life Doesn't Pause Just Because We Stop Documenting It

Six months ago, I published my last blog in January and nearly imperceptibly life asked for my attention. Seasons changed, conversations took place, feelings lingered and life simply happened.
I challenged myself to learn new skills (hope to share soon) and inculcate habits (Journaling, Gratitude practice etc). Went on vacations to slow down and engaged in quality time with myself and family. Made commitments to health goals and commence few new chapters that I would love to share someday. When I was looking at things beautifully, things went a little up and down too but in the end I had to remind myself that I can switch things for myself and can continue to do what feels alive and nicest of all. You can bring a small shift to any situation, sometimes by changing it and sometimes by letting them be. During this whole time, I realized that life is an ongoing process- you live those quiet moments that might never make it to social media but you never stop collecting stories and experiences. It was one such phase for me. At times, we get into a lot of stuff that starts making us feel dispirited and lethargic even for things we love the most. Your passion needs a resting time and a fresh perspective too.
Prioritizing yourself and getting into new skills and habits for yourself shape you into something really significant. You can't just be involved and go on and on with everything life throws at you, at a point you need to analyse things from a distance, by getting a bit far away from your usual routine and that's exactly what slowing down means to me. Disconnecting to reconnect with full energy and get clear and more intentional perspective on things that are part of life. This not at all means that you have to completely halt doing 'your' things but you can do it at an unhurried tempo, taking your own sweet time which is absolutely hunky-dory.
Life keeps moving whether we document it or not, take it to social medias or not. And whether we like it or not, our passion keeps calling us back in more powerful and delightful ways making us unrelenting. So, in short, our pauses and disconnections are also a beautiful part of our journeys. Never take them as an obstructions to your lively journey rather take them as that unexpected pathway that helps you patiently halt and decide which way you would like to walk ahead in your life to make it more meaningful and fulfilling. And eventually you'll love your more reflective version than reactive one because the art of life is not always about producing constantly, sometimes it's more about absorbing sensibly.
Throughout this time people kept asking me Why I had stopped writing? And honestly I smiled every time because the truth was, I had never stopped writing. I simply stopped documenting the moments and stories on the website. I wanted life to give me something worth saying, meanwhile I chose to spend my little time reflecting on experiences and making sense of it all. And now I feel the pause is over and I'm all set to start where I left off.
