‘Once upon a time’ the fantastical and imaginative elements of Fairytales were exclusively for bedtime but now they are not. Because now, fairytales have come true in the form of a café where you can go to have dates, breaks and get togethers anytime of the day.
So, I along with my friends recently checked out this café called Fairytales in Dwarka, New Delhi, that’s based on a dreamy and catchy fairytale theme. The moment I stepped into it, I was transported into a storybook in a forest scene with lots of trees and plants installations, colorful seating, glowing lights all around with a soft touch of magical ambience. It has got beautiful, colorful interior with floral decorations, adding nature’s touch to it. There are perfect picture corners well- designed for aesthetic lovers. There’s a cute cozy fairy vibe to the entire ambience with a mix of pastel and vibrant shades and attractive storybook inspired elements, offering a unique picturesque visual.

Now, coming to the food, the cuisines, flatware and tumblers used are all set to provide a delightful culinary experience but not all of them will please you.
I tried a few popular items on their menu such as-
Korean cream cheese bun and Margherita Naples pizza, that were decent in taste.
Along with the food, I had Baby Drama -the most viral bath -tub tumbler drink and honestly, I was disappointed with this overhyped drink that didn’t work well for me. Also, the tumbler contained plastic toys and flowers into it which I believe, were not required. The taste of the drink was not at all good. Whereas, Jam cobbler, fresh lime soda and Vanilla float cold coffee were good in taste. Vanilla cold coffee was heavenly.
In addition, I also had an Italian dessert- Tiramisu pullover, that was authentic. It had layers of creamy mascarpone, cake biscuits with coffee infused flavors and dark chocolate, sprinkled with cocoa powder on top. If you are a coffee lover then you must try this. Non-coffee drinker may find it a bit bitter.

While the café’s whimsical décor certainly caught my eye, I felt that the space and seating arrangements could be improved. The tables, which appeared designed for small groups of 3-4 people, felt a bit confined, and when fully occupied, the area seemed somewhat congested. Perhaps due to the heavy decorations, the space feels a bit cramped. Despite its Instagram-worthy charm, the layout didn’t quite live up to my expectations in terms of comfort and flow.
Keep in mind that the café might ask you to switch tables if a bigger group shows up, especially if you’re sitting at a larger table with fewer people. Also, the music was not complimenting the vibe of the café.
To wrap up, it was a good experience but not the best one. If you’re someone looking for an aesthetic café to celebrate special occasions like birthdays or small get togethers, this spot is definitely worth a visit! You’ll get beautiful backdrops for photos and a memorable experience. But if you’re particular about standout flavors and spaciousness, you might want to explore other options that better fit your preferences.
